1) Johnny Depp is playing Tonto in an upcoming Lone Ranger remake. This is apparently not a joke.

2) Where exactly did Gotham Cable News get the capital to start a 24-hour cable news station? (America doesn't have government-sponsored TV in the same model as, say, the BBC.) One gathers that the major investors probably did not include Wayne Enterprises, by far the most ginormous financial enterprise in Gotham. In fact, I can only think of one other comparable source of revenue in that town, and it ain't the opera.
