Dear people on LJ comms:
A link that you have not dolled up to look like an LJ-cut is not a fake cut, it is a link.
Also, why do people doll up links to look like LJ-cuts anyway? That makes NO SENSE. Stop doing things that make no sense.
Love,
Me

Date: 2005-08-31 12:25 am (UTC)Because people are more likely to click a link if it appears not to take them away from the journal or community they are presently reading. It's true -- I took a poll. Of course, you and I would immediately see that the fake cut was taking us not to pauraque/numbers.html#cutid=1, but to pornish_pixies/numbers.html. But not everyone has that capacity.
What I hate is when people try to make a fake LJ cut and fail in some way. It looks like ( this ), people. Not (this) or ( this ) or any other stupid thing. You look at millions of lj-cuts in a day -- if you're going to do it, get it right.
