You know who I think would make a great Doctor Who? Peter Wingfield.

....I'm gonna have to naysay this on the basis of the fact that Methos and the Doctor cannot occupy the same space in my brain. o_O That...........

...If I lose the ability to think for the rest of the day? It's all your fault. XD

But he's already older than the Doctor!

God, I really don't think I can handle those two fandoms connecting in any way. That'd be just way too weird.

In all seriousness, though, and leaving off how much that would hurt my head... much as I think Peter is very pretty and all that? He'd be a bit of a step down in the quality of actor they usually get. On the other hand, better him than Adrian Paul...

Been saying it for ever. I keep considering making a comm, but any time I bring it up, everyone gets all quiet-like.

PS: Here via Google Alerts. Big Brother Steve Jobs is watching you conjugate (fandoms).

I was not here.

This is probably true, though I'm still holding out hope that the 11th Doctor will either be Eddie Izzard or the roommate from 'Notting Hill.'

Agreed!

And oddly enough, I just got a Twitter account today [g]

Whoa, seriously? Oh well. If I were really trying to hide from Google, I guess I wouldn't be sitting out here on the internet, you know? (Am I getting everyone who has a Google Alert for "Peter Wingfield", then? Looks like I have another one downthread. :) )

You don't think Peter Wingfield is a good actor? Are you sure it isn't just the effect of seeing him spend so much time in Adrian Paul's quite impressive Not Really That Good of an Actor Field?

As I've probably told you, I love that icon, although I'd love it more if it included "...don't get up."

I so totally need to add that in. It's totally 100% inspired by a macro someone posted to [livejournal.com profile] ihasatardis, so I can't take much credit for it, but yeah, it makes me happy:)

Oh, possibly. We Google Geeks are a dime-a-dozen and have no concept of personal space. We barge in! We correct your grammar, redirect your bibliography and tell you your facts are entirely made up of internet forwards!

Or, possibly, that's only me.

I think I will, though, make a comm. Just so next time it comes up, I can be all, "Way ahead of you, babe. [livejournal.com profile] not_counting" I'm just that colour of compulsive-obsessive fantwit.

"Who's counting? I'm not counting. It's eleven, anyway." - Methos, 'Indiscretions'

It's not that I think he's a bad actor - he's good! It's more that I'm not sure he's on par with the kinds of actors we usually get for the Doctor. There's good, and then there's good, you know? On the other hand... you make a compelling point about the Adrian-Paul effect. Yegads that man is painful to watch sometimes...
