Have folks seen the curiously charming Dr. Watson's Inner Monologue? The writer's first language does not appear to be English, but somehow this does not detract from its charm.
P.S. Remember when Sherlock Holmes slash was kind of a weird idea and there was like one website for it on the entire internet? (And that website was, and is, called Sacrilege!, which basically says it all right there?)

And yes, my first language indeed is not English. (I'm from Finland.)
I have noticed/been pointed to few errors in the text of the DWIMs but am yet to correct them, mainly because the co. However Improbable site is not in my control and changing all by emailing & stuff seems rather bothersome.
I have been thinking of letting someone beta - read them and change them all someday! But that of course, cannot be helped to the cases of those ones that people have saved on their puters and such...but I shall think about.
Thank you for linking us ;)

Date: 2008-12-09 09:56 am (UTC)D'you know, I thought you might be a young Finnish person, because the English in DWIM is quite good and almost free of grammatical "tells"--practically the only thing that's off is the occasional preposition, English preposition rules being difficult to master since they're totally arbitrary (and different on different sides of the Atlantic). :)
