Date: 2008-03-09 04:01 am (UTC)The first season of Torchwood kind of blows. Very, very hard. The second to last episode is probably the only good episode of the season. The second season, with the exception of the last one to air in the UK, has been shockingly good. It's actually funny and at times intelligent.
I maintain that both Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures are significantly better than Torchwood, but it's getting better. (Incidentally, there are times I think I actually prefer SJA to Doctor Who-- it certainly seems more tightly developed, if that makes any sense.)
(Meanwhile, one of my roommates and I are sitting here giggling like idiots over the LOLcats.)
