Has anyone else been watching those ads on FX for the new season of The Shield? They've totally got me, even though I gave up on that show as an interesting and well-done but inadequate H:LOTS substitute two or three seasons ago. But now they're showing me these heart-pounding long-form promos with Johnny Cash for a soundtrack and flashbacks to Vic firing that shot in the pilot episode, and I am such a complete sucker for huge fucked up story arcs that go all the way back to the pilot episode.
So they have totally re-sold me on this show as some kind of epic crime drama, and even if that impression only lasts through the first five minutes of the season, I don't think I'll be able to resist tuning in on the 10th. All I have to do now, though, is get vaguely caught up on all the canon that I didn't care about at the time. Has anyone been watching this show? Whatever happened tothat Bayliss wannabe the psychological profiler guy who killed a cat? And the gay black dude?
