From everybody:

If you make up titles for stories I didn't write, I will respond with details of those non-written stories. Just think of the possibilities! (If you'd like to include details you'd like, pairings or fandom or something, you can do that too.)

Also--

House: Points for Cuddy out-Housing House, and for Wilson's Inappropriate Use of God Mike. Otherwise. . . yeah, I don't care. Wake me up when sweeps are over.

Dear people who still watch West Wing: Are you telling me that Josh/Donna still isn't canon yet? Seriously? They jerk you people around like you're Mulder/Scully shippers. Damn.

Hm, before going with my first instinct on this I should probably ask if you've watched Wire in the Blood, 'cos I ought to come up with something that would actually make sense to you. . .

Ain't Got No Cigarettes
C.G.B. Spender/Bill Mulder (implied C.G.B. Spender/WMM), hard R

"You see, Bill," Chris said in that tone that implied he was sharing some deep mystery of life that you might not be ready to understand, "man's only natural enemy is himself."

In 1960, two young State Department officials take an off-the-record road trip to investigate reports of a network of alien infilrators in the Deep South. Neither of them needs much convincing to get out of D.C. for an indefinite amount of time. Bill Mulder's just starting to realize how much he wants to escape from his rushed marriage; Chris Spender's fallen prey to his own unexpected appetites, and to the power games of a certain opportunistic English colleague.

Mulder has also just killed a man for the first time to protect the Syndicate's interests. So has Spender, the night before they depart, but Spender's managed to keep that information to himself so far. (Not the killing, mind you, but the fact that he'd never done it before, and it's fucking him up.)

Their travels are etched deep with sleep deprivation, alienation and violence. The farther they drive, the clearer it is that they're the aliens down here. There are mysteries and dangers far outside their experience, and the scariest thing around may be their fellow human beings. Along the way they have lots of messed-up hot gay sex. They probably have a bunch of awesome action scenes and shoot at stuff, too, but I think I've come up with as much plot as I'm going to be able to, which is to say not very much. They definitely fail almost completely at what they were supposed to be doing, and have a couple brushes with death.

Lots of peril and revelation of things kept secret and also Spender totally does a fucked-up number on Mulder just the way that WMM's been doing a number on Spender before the story opens. They make it home alive, just barely, and never speak of this again.

The end.
